GradeSpeed Semester Average Issue

Due to the configuration that the GradeSpeed program uses to calculate Nine Week and Semester Averages, the Semester Average displayed prior to the completion of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Nine Weeks does NOT accurately reflect your student’s actual grade.

GradeSpeed uses the previous Nine Weeks grade(s) and then averages that with the current Nine Weeks period to figure the Semester Average EVENTHOUGH the current Nine Weeks is still in progress. Thus, until either semester is totally completed, the Semester Average does not present a true picture of your student’s grade. It only averages the completed Nine Week grade(s) with those that have been recorded in the current Nine Weeks grading period at that point.
